In 1992, just as the grunge fad swept metal off the radio airwaves, Cage was born in the southern California city of San Diego. Sticking to the roots of metal and honoring influences such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, the band forged ahead with their traditional American power metal sound. Over the last decade and 4 albums (their first, recorded in 1995, remains unreleased), Cage have refined their songwriting and talent to a level that is on-par with American metal leaders such as Iced Earth, Jag Panzer, and Metal Church. Blistering guitars, furious drumming, and Sean Peck's highly versatile vocals make this a band for fans of solid, traditional metal to take notice of.
